Kevin also limits the number of weddings he captures each year to 12 this allows Kevin to give his clients the attention they deserve. About Kevin Kevin’s interest in photography and design started at the age of 12 with the gift of a used 35mm camera and has never stopped. He spent his more formative years learning as he went and when he decided to enter the US air force he found the perfect opportunity to broaden his curiosity with a formal college education. Kevin received a Bachelor of Fine Arts with an additional degree in Applied Science and logistics. Kevin began working as a free-lance photographer and his first contract was for the USAF at Grand Forks Air Force Base as a special events and editorial photographer. In 2000 Kevin and Tysha returned home to Virginia. Kevin continued to work as a freelance photographer, becoming a Chief photographer for Media General. Kevin left Media General to pursue his dream of establishing his own Commercial and Wedding photography business. Kevin has realized his dream and with the help of family and friends he founded Kevin Blackburn Photography Full time and has become one of the areas top respected and most sought after photographers.
